28 years behind bars. A deal with God. And an unshakable mission. ⛓️🔥

Today, we’re passing the mic to a man whose story hits deep. No filters, no excuses—just pure reality. This is Anthony. And these are his own words:

My name is Anthony Tyson, 55 years old, born September 23, 1971. As of October 1st, I have been at Holman for 28 years.

I surrendered my life to God on May 7, 1998.

When I first surrendered my life to God, it was for selfish reasons. I needed help for my son. I wanted to help his mother provide for him and be there for him. But I wanted that without the possibility of another man putting his hands on my son. My family wasn't in a position to do that. So I turned to the only other source I could entrust with the most precious gift I have ever received on earth. I made a vow to God: If He would take care of my son for the rest of his life, I would give Him my life for the rest of mine.

In the beginning, I didn't know where, how, or what to do. Because when I left the streets, I was addicted to the streets, and I didn't know how to break that addiction. And the Lord said softly to me: "One day at a time." He said: "You’ve already done the biggest part, you’ve committed, you are willing. I can work with that." And 28 years later, here I am, Jacked for Jesus.

And that brings me to talk a little bit about Jacked for Jesus. The Word of God tells us: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength"—this is the first and greatest commandment (Mark 12:30).

So when you see the Jacked for Jesus crew: That is our goal. We want to give Him everything. Why? Because that is exactly what He did on the cross. He gave everything. Jesus was jacked for us. Why shouldn't we be jacked for Him in return? Amen. Blessings to you.

Bible verses like this one are also flowing into another book I am currently writing. It's a two-part book because I'm still in here. And I don't want to neglect the Jacked for Jesus crew behind bars in favor of those all over the world. The scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

I love this Bible verse for several reasons, but the first is: It doesn't say whether someone is living in freedom or belongs to a huge megachurch. It says ANYONE. So that includes me too. Amen. I could go on forever, but Lance told me not to write the book in the profile... smiles. Jacked 4 Life.

I am happily married, but true brothers & sisters in Christ are welcome to write me. God bless and stay jack'd.
