J4J is an active, sober, Christian community that was founded by Gregory “Lance” Henderson, Michael Maxwell, John DeBlase, and Jesse “Bo” McClure from behind bars in Alabama’s Death Row at Holman prison. We quickly realized through a 4-point wellness program that we could help anyone willing to change their life, even behind bars in a worst-case scenario setting, by stopping the use of all drugs, substances, and tobacco, and starting physical training. This releases natural endorphins in the brain to restore mental balance, which, with a doctor’s approval, can in time reduce or stop the use of some psychotropic medication. Our group biblical studies, fellowship, and support help maintain the emotional and spiritual balance we need each day as human beings!
